Class Teacher x 2

Unity Academy is expanding from September 2024 to include long-term placements alongside our short stay and behaviour courses. We therefore have an exciting opportunity for 2 enthusiastic, and skilled full-time Class Teachers.

We are looking for 2 teachers who can demonstrate and deliver:

• Passion for teaching and learning to ensure every child makes good progress.

• A good understanding of the primary national curriculum.

• Enthusiasm and the ability to inspire children and colleagues.

• Committed to promoting the vision and core values of the school.

• High expectations of self and others; the desire and ability to make a difference.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Unity Academy is expanding from September 2024 to include long term placements alongside our short stay and behaviour courses. We therefore have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, skilled worker to take the position of HLTA. Contracted hours will be 35 hours per week, Term time Only plus TED days. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 8.30am until 4.00pm.

Outreach Support HLTA

Due to the development of our outreach support service at Unity Academy, we are seeking to appoint an outstanding HLTA, who is highly experienced at supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs and who has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the implications of SEMH for an individual. Contracted hours will be 35 hours per week, Term time Only plus TED days with the successful candidate working Monday to Friday, 8.30am until 4.00pm. This post includes an SEN allowance.

The outreach team at Unity Academy, under the guidance of SLT, will support the educational development and inclusion of the children referred to us. You will work across the educational settings within The Wyre Forest area to improve the standard of teaching and learning for students with SEMH, who are at risk of exclusion and help to develop strategies to support them within their mainstream schools.

Please note that this is an essential car user post, as the demands of the job will require you to travel to schools making referrals to us.

Train to teach

We are now recruiting for our School Direct Primary Teacher Training Course due to start in September 2023.

You can achieve your PGCE and QTS, accredited by the University of Worcester, with extensive support from professional mentors, tutors and subject specialists – in a school local to you.
