Headteacher - Mrs Willetts
We are delighted to welcome Mrs Willetts to the Unity family, starting in February 2026.
Mrs Willetts brings extensive experience as both a teacher and a leader across mainstream and specialist provision. She is deeply passionate about supporting our most vulnerable children, helping them to re-engage with education and successfully transition back into appropriate provision.
Mrs Willetts is committed to making a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of the children she works with.
Deputy Headteacher - Mrs Rock
Mrs Rock joined Unity Academy after working in a successful alternative provision in another Local Authority, as Deputy and then Acting Head.
She is a great believer in a holistic approach – seeing the whole child and building on enrichment opportunities for all learners. Mrs Rock is passionate about developing an environment to enhance all children’s learning and has trained to teach Nurture, which she does once a week with each class.
Mrs Rock has a range of experience working within the SEMH field, both within mainstream and Alternative Provision. She is also a qualified SENCo and uses these skills as Inclusion Manager at Unity Academy, supporting children to access all areas of learning and aid smooth transitions.
Assistant Headteacher - Mr Beacham
Mr Beacham has over ten years of experience in education, beginning his career in a specialist setting in Worcester. He has worked in various Worcestershire schools as a Class Teacher and Assistant Headteacher, and most recently served as a Headteacher in Dudley.
Mr Beacham is passionate about supporting children with SEMH needs. He focusses on trauma-informed approaches, strong pastoral care and building positive relationships to help every child feel safe, valued and ready to succeed.
Class Teacher - Mrs Sisley
Mrs Sisley is an extremely experienced member of staff with over 14 years working as a mainstream primary teacher across all key stages, before following her passion to work specifically with SEMH children. Prior to working at Unity Academy, Mrs Sisley worked at a similar Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) setting in Sandwell for 3 years.
Mrs Sisley has led a range of subjects over her career, but in more recent years has been focusing on the leadership of Maths which she continues to do at Unity alongside leading Science.
Class Teacher - Mrs Birch
Mrs Birch has been teaching for 6 years in the Wyre Forest district and knows the local area very well. She has previously completed the SENCo qualification and has experience working in all key stages. Her main focus over recent years has been Lower Key Stage 2 and Early Years.
Mrs Birch has also led a variety of subjects and worked in a Kidderminster Early Years Language class. At Unity Mrs Birch leads on SEND and Key Stage 1 English.
Class Teacher - Mrs Baldwin
Mrs Baldwin is a dedicated and experienced teacher who is a Teaching Champion, working closely with the Rivers CofE Trust Education Team.
With over 14 years of teaching experience in mainstream schools, Mrs Baldwin has worked across all key stages, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. In recent years, she has focused on supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Her passion for making a difference in these children’s lives led her to join Unity, where she now works full-time with SEMH students.
In addition to her teaching role, Mrs Baldwin leads our cooking curriculum. Her exceptional baking skills are well-known amongst the staff, who often enjoy her delicious treats. Mrs Baldwin's culinary talents not only bring joy to her colleagues but also inspire and engage the students in her cooking planning. We are thrilled to have Mrs Baldwin as part of our team, where her dedication and enthusiasm continue to make a positive impact every day.
Class Teacher - Mrs Dale-Wallace
Mrs Dale-Wallace is a qualified counsellor and an experienced educator. She has over 8 years of teaching experience across all key stages including seven years in a mainstream primary school setting.
Her experience with SEMH needs provides valuable support for all children. Mrs Dale-Wallace achieved an NPQ in Leading Teaching and is passionate about fostering a love of learning with children and promoting personal professional development for her colleagues.
Mrs Dale-Wallace has experience in Subject Leadership of Music and Art. She is passionate about helping every child grow in confidence and discover a lifelong love of learning. She brings music, arts, dance and fitness into the classroom, inspiring students to explore their talents. Beyond school, Mrs Dale-Wallace enjoys spending time with family, gardening and being actively involved in her community.
Class Teacher - Miss Bourne
Miss Bourne has been working within education for 14 years, with the majority of her experience being in the Early Years.
Miss Bourne has co-managed an early years setting and worked within children’s services which has helped her to build strong safeguarding knowledge. She’s incredibly passionate about the early stages of education and wants to create a fun, supportive environment for children to grow in and reach their full potential.
Class Teacher - Miss Little
Miss Little is a passionate and dedicated educator with over twenty years of teaching experience. She has worked with children from all key stages to continue her enthusiasm for shaping and nurturing children's learning. Through her years of teaching she has followed her passion in creating a safe, positive and welcoming environment within the classroom.
Miss Little's calm and approachable nature fosters a classroom where emotional well being is at the heart of her teaching, ensuring each child feels valued and ready to learn.
HLTA - Mrs Young
Mrs Young joined Unity Academy after working in an Alternative Provision in another LA. Before this she gained experience in mainstream primary settings working across all key stages.
Mrs Young has had extensive training in Childrens Learning and Development, Understanding Childrens Mental Health and Behaviours, Counselling, Development through Play, Forest School Leader training, Nurture training, Phonics training including Reading Strategies, Child Protection and Safeguarding, Understanding Autism and Special Education Needs and provides appropriate intervention support with children daily, monitoring and assessing their individual needs.
Mrs Young believes in a holistic education, giving all students a positive learning experience personalised to meet a child’s individual skills, feelings, progress and well-being.
HLTA - Mrs Kiteley
Mrs Kiteley qualified as a primary school teacher in 2001. For a large part of her teaching career, she has been a Reception teacher working in mainstream education. More recently, before joining Unity, she spent a few years working as a supply teacher, teaching children across all age groups in the primary years in Worcestershire and Dudley schools.
Outside of school, Mrs Kiteley loves being with her family, gardening, the natural world, and being creative (she has a degree in Art). Last year, she took up tennis and joined her local club, which she loves.
HLTA / Outreach Support - Mrs Wheeldon
Mrs Wheeldon is a highly experienced educator with over a decade of experience working across primary schools and nursery settings. As a former Nursery Manager, she developed strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, creating safe, nurturing environments where young learners could flourish.
Beyond the classroom, Mrs Wheeldon has been a dedicated contributor to the local community for more than 15 years through her involvement in Scouting, supporting the development and well-being of children and young people of all ages.
In her current role at Unity, Mrs Wheeldon brings her extensive expertise to the wider community by providing outreach support to schools within the Wyre Forest and The Rivers CofE Trust. Her passion for education, commitment to inclusive learning, and ability to connect with both pupils and staff make her an invaluable member of our school community.
Teaching Assistant - Mrs Pratt
Mrs Pratt has worked in Alternative Provision schools for twelve years. Working alongside children with challenging behaviour and mental health difficulties. As a result, she is experienced in dealing with students who have faced early childhood trauma and other related issues leading her to develop strategies and methodology to help support these students.
Amy is very energetic and loves a challenge. She has gained extensive training over the years, including Safeguarding, Dyslexia, First aid and many other training enabling her to cope with adverse situations.
Teaching Assistant - Miss Street
Miss Street has worked in education for 15 years in both mainstream and alternative provision. Her 15 years started as a volunteer at a local primary school where she discovered a passion for working with SEMH children. She then became a Teaching Assistant and jointly ran a nurture provision.
Miss Street has also completed the THRIVE practitioners licence and spent several years working alongside the behavioural team at a primary school before moving to The Beacon PRU where she spent 6 years before transferring to Unity Academy. At Unity Academy Miss Street leads on Forest School for all pupils, offering them an additional nurturing provision within the school timetable.
Teaching Assistant - Mr Trevitt
Mr Trevitt has been working in schools for the last 14 years, initially running Martial Arts and Self-Defence classes. For the last 5 years Carl has been working at a Secondary AP school in Kidderminster as a Teaching Assistant, before joining Unity Academy.
Mr Trevitt currently runs a Martial Arts Class at Unity as part of our PE lessons.
Mr Trevitt has a passion for working with children and young adults in an SEN and SEMH setting.
Teaching Assistant - Miss Waters
Teaching Assistant - Mrs Jarvis
Mrs Jarvis brings a wealth of experience to our school, having worked across all key stages. She has worked for The Rivers CofE Academy Trust and specialised SEND/SEMH schools, demonstrating her versatility and dedication to education.
In addition to her education role, Mrs Jarvis is actively involved in Wyre Forest community initiatives, helping to address and understand the challenges children face. She is committed to supporting students’ needs, ensuring they achieve academic success while also enjoying a fulfilling and happy school experience.
Outreach Support HLTA - Mrs Andrews
Mrs Andrews is a dedicated and experienced educator with over 20 years of teaching experience in both Key Stage 1and Key Stage 2. As a Head of Year 6 and PE Coordinator, Emma has demonstrated solid leadership and a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Her commitment to supporting all students is evident through her establishment of a learning hub, specifically designed to assist children who struggle to access the curriculum within their class. This innovative initiative has made a significant impact on the academic and personal growth of many students.
In her current role, Mrs Andrews extends her expertise beyond the classroom by offering outreach support to schools within the Wyre Forest and The Rivers CofE Trust. Her dedication to education and her ability to connect with both students and staff make her an asset to our school community.
Office Administrator - Miss Young
Miss Young joined Unity in September 2024, bringing valuable experience from the adult care sector. Her transferable skills have been a great asset, and her excellent organisational abilities help keep the school office running smoothly and efficiently.
Kitchen Assistant and Cleaner - Mary Davis
Mary has worked as a school lollipop lady, dinner lady and school cleaner in various settings before joining Unity Academy.
Mary serves our lunches and looks after our kitchen, as well as helping to keep our school clean and tidy.
Cleaner - Diane Carpenter
Diane has worked in various schools as a cleaner before joining Unity. She works alongside Mary to keep our school clean, tidy and welcoming.
